Is there a dress code?
There is no specific dress code; however, you may wish to wear clothing and shoes appropriate for dancing.
Please also be aware that the reception at the Hall is around a 10 minute walk away from the Cathedral, down medieval cobbled streets.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Exeter Cathedral is wheelchair accessible. The Hall unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.
Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about accessibility.
Is accomodation available?
There is no accommodation available at our venue, but there are plenty of options.
Both the wedding and reception are taking place in Exeter city centre. There are several hotels in the city centre and further out. AirBnBs are also available.
Guests may wish to stay outside of the city centre: Topsham, Exmouth, Sidmouth, Teignmouth, and Dawlish are all within a half hour drive. Public transport is available to most surrounding towns, although unfortunately the buses are not always reliable, so leave plenty of time.
Is there public transport?
Trains from London and Birmingham etc. arrive at Exeter St Davids, around a 20 minute walk from the Cathedral.
Buses from surrounding towns arrive at the Bus station, which is a short walk from the Cathedral.
Is there parking?
There are several city centre car parks. We recommend the Cathedral & Quay Car Park, at 26 Lower Coombe Street, EX1 1DX. This is a short signposted walk from the Cathedral.
Are children welcome?
Of course!
