Location

Exeter Cathedral and the Hall

Our marriage will take place at the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, a breathtaking setting at the heart of the city, known for its extraordinary Gothic architecture, beautiful vaulted ceiling and centuries of history.

After the ceremony, we will continue the celebrations at the Hall, a characterful Victorian school hall full of warmth and charm. Its historic features and welcoming atmosphere make it the perfect place to gather with family and friends for food, drinks and dancing.

Journeys

By rail

Exeter is well connected by train, with regular services from across the South West, London and beyond. The nearest stations are Exeter St David’s and Exeter Central.

From either station, you can take a taxi into the city centre or continue on foot if you are travelling light. Please allow a little extra time on the day, especially if you are arriving on a weekend or during the summer holidays.

By road

If you are travelling by car, Exeter is easily reached via the M5 and the A30. The cathedral is located in the city centre, so please check parking options in advance and allow extra time for traffic.

Parking is available from Exeter City Council. We would recommend the Cathedral & Quay Car Park at 28 Lower Coombe St, Exeter EX1 1DE. This is around a ten minute walk from the Cathedral and the Hall.

By air

For guests travelling from further afield, the most convenient airports are likely to be Bristol or London, both of which offer a wide range of flights from Europe and the United States.

From Bristol or London, Exeter can be reached by rail or road. Journey times will vary depending on your route, so we recommend allowing plenty of time when making travel plans, particularly if you are arriving on the day of the wedding.

By bus

Exeter has regular local and regional bus services, with stops in and around the city centre. Many bus routes stop within walking distance of the cathedral.
